Concurrent Detection of Gastric GIST and Dual Aortic Aneurysms During Endoscopic Ultrasound: A Diagnostic Opportunity
Poster Abstract

We report the case of a patient evaluated for a gastric submucosal mass, in whom  endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) enabled a comprehensive assessment. Endoscopy revealed a large antral–fundic submucosal lesion.

Transgastric EUS identified a 39.5 × 37 mm hypoechoic tumor arising from the fourth layer, suggestive of a resectable gastric GIST. The examination also revealed two aortic aneurysms: a 41 mm infrarenal aneurysm and a 22 mm supraceliac aneurysm. No additional pancreatic, biliary, hepatic, or hepatic–splenic abnormalities were detected.

This case underscores the broad diagnostic potential of EUS for simultaneous evaluation of gastrointestinal tumors and significant vascular pathology.
